Oxygen the element, The cause of aging
BY: Muhmmad Mudassir Shah
Oxygen the essential and fundamental need of human survival is the main cause that contributes to the progression of aging. Oxygen is required by mitochondria to produce ATP ( Adenine Tri-Phosphate), an essential energy resource required by the cell to carry out necessary functions. The proper function of the cells results in proper function of the tissues and organs. The proper function of body organs is essential for the proper functioning of the body.
One of the most common cause of oxygen's contribution in aging is it being free radical. Free radical is an atom or molecule that has unpaired valance election and is highly reactive component. it causes toxicity that gradually damages the organs, the main factors that cause aging in a human body.
It is obvious that human survival is unimaginable without oxygen although it being the main contributor that causes aging is a reality that cannot be escaped. This dilemma of the survival's most important element also being a key contributor in leading to death due to aging is an emotional ride but it is the destiny of the stream of life
